Made it to "HUMP DAY"

Okay, this XT thing may be my hang up. I have been quite impressed with all the bloggers in our MM group, but getting up at 4-5am just ain't gonna happen in this house right now. So, I have tried to squeeze it into my daily routine. The only problem with that is the daily routine is anything but routine. Anyway, if you can call changing my wife's car tire for her this morning after an "Emergency Call from South Jackson!" XT'ing, then I got in my XT today- The spare was flat, and the jack was a joke.... Wait- I have more excuses! I went for my checkup today, and sinus crud encouraged the visit, and my Doctor said I had fluid in one ear, and put me on an antibiotic and gave me a Decadron shot. You should have seen my Doc roll his eyes when I told him I was going to run a marathon. Maybe I'll get kicked off the team for steroid use. Anyway, the running has been going okay, but the shins are killing me...On a bright note, I got this cool
Nike + thing for an iPod Nano, and it works really good. I didn't have to buy Nike shoes as it turns out, but I now have a cool Kempewterized track record of my wogging... It will give me my calories burned, miles, pace, and is really cool. When I sync my iPod with the kempewter it goes right to a Nike website so I can graph out how ridiculously slow I am running! Kewl! If your interested, let me know, and I'll be glad to impart some geek wisdom on you. GO MM WOGGERS!!

On a lazy Sunday, I managed to put off my XT (extra training) on my very first day of the Marathon Makeover training so that I could attend church, eat lunch, and start my new blog. Surely putting this in print on the internet where everyone could read it makes it more real than ACTUALLY starting, right? Well, now that this is done, I suppose I will air up the tires on my bike and get at it. I look forward to meeting all the rest of you runners or woggers, and hope you all take it one day at a time.
