Without any Gatorade, and way too long without water. To say I am a little mad is an understatement, but here's the skinny. No water except for the runners who run really fast, and no finish unless you can run a 4.5 hour marathon with little water and practically no gatorade in 80+ weather, and 100 percent humidity.... I'm off to drown my sorrows at Fogo de Chau..
More posts and some pics later..
My congrats to some courageous runners.
At least I trained in this kinda stuff....

I'm so sorry you guys didn't to finish but I'm glad you are all coming home alive and well!
I couldn't believe it when Hallie called and told me. I've been so disappointed and thinking of everyone all day. My Mark is tired of me say how bad I feel for you all. I'm so sorry they had to shut down the race. You're still a marathoner and always will be, Chuck.
I was rather ticked off when I found out, too. But saddened when I learned someone actually died, and that I have a small connection to him. Ditto Lisa--you ARE a marathoner.
i got on the marathon website and wrote then a note, not that it will do any good but i told them how i felt and that there wasnt enough water no matter if they said we did,,
thanks for finishing with me..
I'm glad to see something published that told the real story. We will not let them tell the world lies! See you at the MS Blues, right Chuck?!!!!!
It was great to find you at the end and walk those last steps with you. I am bummed, but so glad I got a chance to meet you and all the other great people who trained with me this year.
